Internal Funding Announcement: request for pilot project proposals from the Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors - INFORMATIONAL MEETING - Oct. 17, 2014
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) P30 ES020957 "Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors (CURES)" announces a request for pilot project proposals.
CURES is a cross-campus, community-centered initiative that has been established to develop the leadership and research capacity to identify, evaluate, and mitigate Detroit's environmental health challenges in close collaboration with the community and environmental policy makers.
This RFA seeks applications for community-engaged research projects that address environmental health problems of concern to the community.
CURES plans to fund three pilot projects, with each project funded for ~1.2 years at a total amount of up to $80,000 in direct costs.
Any CURES member is eligible to apply for pilot project funding. In addition, any non-CURES member who declares his/her willingness to join CURES and abide by its policies is eligible to apply.
An informational meeting for this RFA will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014, from 10:00 - 11:30AM in WSU's Office of the Vice President for Research, 5057 Woodward Avenue, 6th floor, Conference Room A.
